Florist Email Marketing Schedule
“A plan is what, a schedule is when. It takes both a plan and a schedule to get things done.”– Peter Turla
Florists, it’s no secret that we have moved from a world of physical marketing mailers to email marketing.
According to invespcro.com, 54% of millennials made online purchases and they account for 30% of all the spending in the US. Those are some huge numbers and in case you are wondering a millennial is someone born in the years from 1981 to 1996.
Email marketing allows you to keep your floral business in the hub of our technology revolution by enforcing your brand recognition. Of course as with any marketing, the strategy you put in place matters, especially if you are looking for engagement.
Are you sending to little marketing campaigns to your customers? Or are you sending too many? When should you send out email marketing? For what seasons and holidays? In this write up we will guide you on when to send marketing to your customers and for what occasions and seasons by month. Let us dive right into it!
Email Marketing Best Day & Times:
Florists when sending out your email marketing promos the day and time are important. The fact of the matter is that it is getting harder to emerge your customer’s attention and let us not forget that your promo email is most likely not the only one in their inbox.
Also good to point out is that your customers are not on a florist schedule. Sunday may seem a good time to send out email marketing for you however may be the worst time for your customers and result in no engagement!
To keep it simple I recommend sending your promo emails out Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. As far as the time I find the best times on these days is 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. If you are not sure what day to pick go with Thursday, however, I also encourage you to run an email campaign test. Break your email list into two and send them out on different days to see the highest open rate.
Florist Holidays, Promos & Seasons Email Marketing Schedule:
Florists regardless if these holidays and seasons are currently bringing in traffic, it is your job as a florist to also remind customers of holidays that they may not even know of.
For example, Women’s Day may not be a super profitable holiday for your flower shop personally however with floral email marketing do not assume nobody else cares or wants a reminder-remember just one engagement can turn into a life long customer.
