Florists, Are You Using Canva For Your Design Graphics?

Florists’ I’m sure you are aware that social media marketing now overshadows traditional marketing. For this reason, it has become more important than ever to grab your audiences’ attention with engaging social media graphics.
Besides social media graphics if you are blogging on your floral website you will also want to add captivating graphics to keep readers on your blog post. Using an online design tool such as Canva will help.
As we all know images have alot more impact than actual content when it comes to social media, when your social media graphics, website graphics, and business visual materials are impactful it will make a world of difference in the “Likes”, “Followers” and “Customers” you gain.
So how do you go about creating amazingly awesome engaging floral business graphics? As mentioned above it really could not be any easier with Canva.
Getting Starting With Canva:
Canva allows you to create beautiful designs in no time and the best part is -no design skills are necessary. You may log in to Canva here.
You can use Canva for Free or opt to pay a monthly fee of around $12.95 USD monthly. I recommend paying the monthly fee as this will open up more design possibilities which will also allow you to create animated graphics.
After you sign up with Canva you will now see your homepage this is your dashboard to start creating a design.
Creating A Design:
To start designing, click Create a design in left the toolbar, type your chosen design into the search bar or select a template down the center of the homepage.
Once you select your template it will open up your design in the Canva editor.
Customize Your Template:
Now that you’re in the Canva editor. This is where the creativity begins, but do not worry if your not graphically creative – you will still look and feel as though you are. Canva makes it really simple!
The image below will help you familiarize your self with the key parts of the Canva editor page:
- Menu bar – Located at the very top of the editor. Here, you will be able to access the Undo, Redo, Resize, Share, Download, Create Animation, Order prints, and much more. You’ll also be able to see your design’s saving status from here.
- Side panel – The panel that appears on the left side of the Canva editor is where you will be able to access the templates and elements you can use in your graphic design.
- Canvas – In the center is your Canvas or your started design. Consider this your main workspace since this is where you will be creating your graphic design.
Templates will make it super easy for you to create a professional design for your floral business. You may also design from scratch if you are feeling creative. Click on the text icon on your side panel to add custom fonts and use your color option on the menu bar to customize colors.
Post/Publish Your Design:
Now that you are complete with your floral graphic masterpiece, it’s time to publish or post it. Click the Publish button or arrow icon on the menu bar and you will see a dropdown list of all of your options for posting, downloading and you can even order prints.
Creating Animated Graphics Using Canva:
Creating animated graphics on Canva could not be easier, choose an animated template or you can animate your fonts when you’re ready to download your design.
